Yara’s Way — Kids’ Recipe Site Connected to a Family of Tools

A family food site for parents of picky eaters: hidden-veggie recipes as their own post type, parent guides and a blog — with every ingredient linked to nutrition data on NutrientsCalculator and learning games on BrightMinds Quiz.

The goal

Parents searching for kid-friendly meals want three answers fast: will my child eat it, how long does it take, and is it actually healthy? Yara’s Way was rebuilt to answer all three on every recipe — and to connect parents with the nutrition and learning tools we already run on sister sites.

Recipes as a real content type

Recipes live in their own post type rather than as ordinary blog posts. Each one carries structured details — prep time, calories and the age it suits (“Ages 1+”) — plus a hidden-veggie tag when vegetables are folded quietly into a familiar dish such as mac and cheese. Recipes are grouped into Lunchboxes, Smoothies, Breakfast, Snacks and Dinner, while normal posts stay as the blog for practical articles on picky eating and lunchbox planning. A separate For Parents section collects longer guides.

A family of sites, not three islands

The most useful feature is what happens around the recipe. Every ingredient links to calorie and macro data on NutrientsCalculator, so a curious parent is one tap from the numbers. A “Tools from our family of sites” block surfaces the food database, meal planner, AI meal analyzer and water tracker on NutrientsCalculator, and kids’ quizzes and learning games on BrightMinds Quiz. The header also links straight to the Macro Tracker.

That network does two jobs: it keeps families inside a helpful ecosystem, and it gives search engines a clear picture of how the sites relate topically.

Trust signals

Food and children’s health are sensitive topics, so the footer carries an editorial policy, disclaimer, terms of use and privacy policy alongside About and Contact pages.
